The JAIST Foundation
The foundation is established in August, 1990, by Ishikawa Prefecture and the Hokuriku economic association for supporting the exchange activities among the government, industry, and academy as well as the educational and research activities at Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.
The following works are undertaken with the profit from operating the fund property of the Foundation:
- To support the excellent educational environment
- To support the establishments of donated courses
- To support conferences and research meetings
- To support joint research
- To support seminars on advanced technology
- To offer regular meetings for exchange activity among the government, industry and academy
- To support the maintenance of educational and research facilities and equipments
- To support any other businesses necessary to assist educational research and the cooperation among the government, industry, and academy.
